우리사회의 변동을 대표하는 현상의 하나가 저출산이라고 할 수 있다. 저출산은 탁아시설의 부족, 육아부담 등의 이유로 결혼한 부부들이 아이를 적게 낳는 것과 더불어 결혼과 출산가치관의 변화로 인한 결혼연령의 상승, 결혼을 하지 않는 비혼자의 증가 등이 그 원인으로 지적되고 있다. 지금까지의 저출산논의는 사회적인 측면에서 논의되어 왔을 뿐, 결혼연기와 출산연기 등의 이면에 내재되어 있는 개인의 가치관의 변화관점에서는 논의되지 않고 있다. 본 연구는 한국노동패널 1～6차조사자료를 이용, 실제로 미혼상태를 지속하거나 미혼에서 기혼으로의 결혼상태의 변화를 겪은 표본을 추출하여 미혼상태를 지속하게 하는 요인, 미혼에서 기혼으로 이동하게 한 요인을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 학력, 취업여부와 같은 변수는 남성에게 있어서는 결혼선택에 영향을 미치는 요인이지만, 여성에게는 유의미한 영향력이 없었다. 가치변인 중 생활만족도변인은 남성의 결혼선택에만 부의 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다.
Abstract
Korean society can be characterized by it's rapid changes in many aspects. One of the phenomenon of change is fertility decline. Low fertility in Korea has a close relation to social aspects(lack of child care service, burden of child care, increases for educational expenses) and private aspects(postponement of marriage, postponement of childbirth, and changes of values). Up to now, discussion of low fertility was conducted to confirm the social aspects. The previous studies lacked personal factors which underlie the low fertility rate, like changes of values and postponement of marriage. The purpose of this study was to evaluate variables which make their influences on the marriage selection and examine how these variables are differed by gender. In this study, not only demographic factors such as age, educational attainment etc, but also individual value variables such as life stisfaction, job satisfaction, were selected as independent variables, hence this study useful to explain the postponement of marriage. The Data Used from the KLIPS conducted by Korea Labor Institute.
