Abstract
This study investigated the time allocation of the married working women using systems equations(FIML). The sample of the empirical study was the 874 married working women among the both working households of the 7th Korea Labor and Income Panel Study. Women's wage showed a negative effect on market work hours. Women's earnings showed a positive effect on household work hours and total household income showed a positive effect on women's leisure time. Leisure time of the husband had a negative effect on women's market work hours while positive effect on women's leisure time and household work hours. The presence of children had a negative effect on women's market work hours while positive effect on household work hours. This implies that the presence of children has a substitute effect on market and household work.
