AHP를 이용한 기업회생 전략의 상대적 중요도에 관한 연구

초록

본 연구의 목적은 회생절차를 통해 부실기업에서 정상 기업으로 전환된 기업을 대상으로다양한 회생 전략의 상대적 중요도를 확인하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 기업회생 전략요인을크게 외부지원 활용전략, 효율성 제고전략, 수익창출 전략의 세 가지와 각 요인에 대한 16가지 세부 평가 항목으로 분류하였고, 계층화 분석법(analytic hierarchy process, AHP)을 통해요소 간 쌍대비교를 실시하였다. 분석결과, 외부지원 활용전략과 해당 세부전략의 중요도가높게 나타났고, 효율성 제고전략과 수익창출 전략에서는 상대적으로 낮은 중요도가 도출되었다. 이는 기업회생에 있어 당장의 채무 상환을 통해 자금 운용의 여력을 확보하는 것이가장 중요하기 때문에 나타난 결과로 판단된다. 다만, 부실기업이 외부지원을 활용하기 위해서는 많은 법적 근거와 지식이 필요하므로, 정부 차원에서 이러한 과정이 원활하게 이루어질 수 있도록 적극적으로 정책적 지원을 해야 할 것이다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the relative importance of turnaround strategies of the companies that successfully turned themselves around trough corporate rehabilitation proceeding. To fulfil this objective, this research, adopting the AHP(analytic hierarchy process) method, divided the turnaround strategies into 3 criteria―utilization of external support, efficiency strategy and entrepreneurial strategy―and 16 subcriteria. All the criteria were pairwise-compared against each other. It was discovered that utilization of external support and its subcriteria were evaluated as the most important whereas efficiency strategy and entrepreneurial strategy were proved less important than utilization of external support. The results of this study may indicate that it is more important for insolvent companies to secure sufficient assets or cash-flow through imminent debt repayment with external support. To utilize such external support, it is important for insolvent companies to have enough knowledge of legal process involved in turnaround management. Therefore, the government should provide proper policy support for the companies at risk of bankruptcy so that they can exploit the support options available.
