본 연구는 생성형 AI 활용이 일상화된 디지털 환경에서, 프롬프트 설계 역량이 AI 응답 품질에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 검증하였다. AI 리터러시의 핵심 하위 요소로서 프롬프트 설계 능력에 주목하고, 경험학습모델(Kolb, 1984) 기반 교육이 프롬프트 구성 완성도를 통해 응답 품질 향상에 기여하는지를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 경험학습이론에 기반한 교육 영상을 제작하고, 교육 여부(통제집단/교육집단)와 과제 유형(여행 계획/독서 에세이)을 요인으로 하는 이원 혼합설계 온라인 실험을 실시하였다. 참여자는 두 과제를 반복 수행하였고 작성된 프롬프트와 AI 응답을 연구자가 수집･분석하였다. 연구 결과, 프롬프트 구성 완성도가 높을수록 AI 응답 품질이 유의하게 향상되었으며, 경험학습 기반 교육은 응답 품질에 직접적 효과뿐 아니라, 구성 완성도를 매개로 한 간접 효과도 확인되었다. 본 연구는 경험학습 기반 프롬프트 교육의 효과를 실증적으로 제시함으로써, AI 리터러시 교육과 조직의 AI 활용 전략 설계에 실질적 시사점을 제공한다.
Abstract
This study empirically examines the impact of prompt engineering competency on the quality of generative AI responses in increasingly AI-integrated digital environments. Focusing on prompt design as a key procedural subcomponent of AI literacy, the study investigates whether education based on Kolb’s (1984) experiential learning model can enhance response quality by improving prompt completeness. Accordingly, instructional video grounded in experiential learning theory was developed, and an online experiment was conducted using a two-way mixed design with education condition (control vs. education group) and task type (travel planning vs. reading essay) as factors. Participants completed both tasks twice, and their prompts along with AI-generated responses were collected and analyzed. The results indicate that higher prompt completeness significantly improves AI response quality. Moreover, experiential learning-based education demonstrated both a direct effect on response quality and an indirect effect mediated by prompt completeness. By providing empirical evidence of the effectiveness of experiential learning-based prompt education, this study offers practical implications for AI literacy education and the development of organizational strategies for AI adoption.
