道경계지역 문화요소의 분포와 문화권역 - 동제의 대상신을 중심으로 -

이 글은 복수의 문화권역이 겹칠 수 있는 현상을 살펴보고, 문화권역의경계를 설정하는 문제에 대해서 이해하려는 것이다. 자료는 경상북도와 경계를 함께 하는 각 道의 지역에 분포하는 동제의 대상신을 대상으로 하였다. 인접 한 각 도의 자료를 살펴본 결과, 경계지점에는 두 도의 특성이 함께 나타나는 문화복합현상을 확인할 수 있지만, 경계지점에서부터 각 도의중심부로 이동할수록 각 도의 특성을 띠고 있었다. 이를 통해서, 경계지역의 문화요소는 각 도의 중심부와 또 다른 문화복합현상 지역으로써의 특징을 지니고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그 결과, 행정구역의 경계가 문화권역을 구분 짖는 기준이기보다는 경계지역 양쪽의 문화특질을 공유하는 점이지대로써의 새로운 문화권역을 설정할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이것은 산맥과 강유역과 분지가 생태적 환경이전혀 다른 곳이어서 각 환경에 적응한 생활문화들은 전혀 다르게 형성될 수있고, 이것은 그 환경 자체가 또 하나의 문화적 경계 또는 동일 문화요소를공유하는 지역으로 이해될 수 있을 것이기 때문이다.
Abstract
This is a study understanding phenomena which cultural zones overlap and understanding about a problem of setting borders of new cultural zones. Materials are the gods of Dongje rite of Kyungsang-buk province in South Korea. In border areas, I confirmed culture complex with the cultural traits of two provinces. But cultural traits in the zones have the traits of each province as moving to each other central area. So, I could confirmed cultural complex areas which the cultural traits of border areas different from each other central area. Consequently, I think, provincial borders are not standards for division of cultural districts, but we’ll set up new cultural zones as mixed cultural areas which shared cultural traits of both sides. That is, their zones have different ecological setting of these districts; range of mountains, basins of rivers and surrounded by mountains. So, the way of life which had adopted to each environments formed each other differently. And we can understand which those environments themselves can form another cultural borders or the zones sharing the same cultural traits.
