D병원의 폐기혈액 분석을 통한 효율적인 혈액관리 방안에 관한 검토

Abstract

The authors investigated 172,811 units of issued blood from Jan. 1995 to Dec. 1997 in D University Hospital for evaluation of the utiilization of blood and status of returned blood. The results were as fellows ; 1. The percentage of blood components was 98.1%. 2. The percentage of returned bloods was increased by year. 3. In returned bloods, FFP was 35.4%, Packed cell was 35.1%. Platelet was 18.3%, whole blood was 3.1%, Platelet apheresis was 0.6%, and Wahed RBC was 0.5%. 4. The causes of returned blood were as follows ; Excessive ordering was 53.1%, death of patient was 27.8%, hopeless discharge was 11.3%, patient reject was 6.9%, and others was 0.7%. The authors suggest the application of MSBOS, Type & Screening method, and application of apheresis for decreasig excessive crossmatching and laboratory cost, and for effective utilization of dinated blood.
