계산법과 직접측청법을 이용한 LDL-Cholesterol 측청치의 비교

Abstract

The low density lipoproteins cholesterol(LDL-C) in serum is believed to play animportant role in atherosclerosis. There is currently no consensus of approved method formeasurement of LDL ch이esterol. We think the CDC method can be adopted involvingultracenσifugation and precipitation, but in fact these are generally not adopted in clinicallaboratories. Precipitation methods are accurate in samples with low σiglyceride levelshowever many systematic errors are introduced when triglyceride level are elevated. So ithas been common practice in many clinical laboratories to use the Friedewald equation forthe estimation of LDL cholesterol levels in patient samplesBut this is not correct in some conditions. More recent studies have revealed thattriglycerides levels above 250mg⁄dl will affect the Friedewald estimation. This Friedewaldestimation of LDL cholesterol outside the limitation leads to significant under-estimation. Therefore, we have done evaluation to check this limitation about 70 samples withFriedewald estimation and Randox Direct LDL-C reagents on Spectrum autoanalyzer andhave gotton not so good relation, r=0.66.
