The purpose of this study was to examine whether the verbal and non-verbal communication behaviors of skin care estheticians had a positive effect on rapport, which has a pleasant interaction and a personal connection, thereby establishing customer satisfaction. To this end, a study was conducted with 201 consumers who had received skin care services. The results showed that both the verbal and nonverbal communication behaviors of the skin care estheticians had a positive effect on rapport with customers. In addition, rapport between customers and skin care estheticians revealed a positive effect on customer satisfaction. That is, in the skin care service situation, the expression of emotions by the skin care esthetician's verbal and non-verbal communication behaviors can affect emotional and human relations with the customers, leading to favorable satisfaction with the overall service. This study promoted academic achievement related to rapport by confirming the importance of employees' verbal and non-verbal communication behavior in forming rapport between customers and employees in the service field. In addition, by revealing that the positive emotional expression behavior of employees is an important factor in forming a customer relationship in the skin beauty industry, it provided practical implications for skin beauty managers to manage their emotion.
