본 논문에서 우리는 사회적 시장경제란 어떤 의미를 띠고 어떠한 역사적 배경에서 등장하게 되었으며, 그리고 사회적 시장경제에서 설정하는 인간관에 대해서 검토한다. 동시에 사회적 시장경제는 그 출발부터 윤리체계와 밀접한 관련이 있음을 밝히고 윤리성에 바탕을 둔 사회체계의 중요성에 대해서도 다룬다. 나아가 사회적 시장경제가 설정한 핵심내용을 시장, 동반자관계, 국가 차원에서 살피며, 그리고 사회적 시장경제에서 추구하는 핵심내용을 몇 가지의 테제형식으로 재구성한다. 이런 노력을 통해 우리는 인간의 존엄과 가치가 보장되는 ‘인간의 얼굴을 한 자본주의’ 실현에 이바지한다.
Abstract
In this paper we tried to explain the meaning of the so-called social market economy, the historical background and the image of man in this system. Also in this paper we examined this system from an ethical standpoint of human economic activity. We were especially focused on market, partnership and state as the essence of the social market economy. Finally, we formulated the contents of social market economy in different theses. Through this trial we contributed to the understanding of 'capitalism with a human face,' in which human dignity is to be respected in all walks of our life.
