선교지 학교 교육실습 프로그램 구상에 관한 연구

본 연구는 개발도상국에 있는 선교지 학교에서 실행할 교육현장실습 프로그램에 대한 구상을 목적으로 하여 먼저 해외교육현장에서 진행하는 교육현장실습의 이슈와 한계를 검토하고 이를 보완할 해외 교육실습프로그램 개발과 운영방안을 논의하였다. 해외 교육실습은 예비교사인 실습생들에게 글로벌 의식과 태도를 키울 뿐 아니라 교육환경의 중요성을 인식하고 다양한 환경 속에서 교수학습능력이나 기술을 향상시킨다는 면에서 매우 의미있는 교육활동이다. 그러나 교육실습내용의 체계성 부족, 해외 교육실습에 대한 사전교육 부실, 대학과 교육현장과의 연계가 부족한 것이 문제로 지적되었다. 이러한 상황으로 인해 실습생들은 그들이 기대하는 실습과 실제 경험하는 것과의 괴리를 크게 느끼고 있으며, 실제 해외 교육현장에서 어떤 실습지도가 이뤄지는지 알 수 없는 ‘방임형 교육실습’이 되는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 문제를 보완하기 위해서 본 연구는 선교지 교육현장실습을 구상할 때에 현장실습의 목적, 현장, 교육과정, 통합, 학습평가, 협력, 지원이라는 현장연계학습 7차원을 고려할 것을 제안한다. 본문에서는 현장연계학습의 각 차원을 선교지 교육현장실습 상황에 어떻게 적용할 수 있을지 구체적인 접근방안을 탐색하고 논의하였다. 결론에서는 교육현장실습의 목적인 교수역량과 교원역량 함양을 위해서는 다양한 교육현장경험을 종합하는 교육실습, 해외 실습학교 선정을 위한 기독교대학들의 협력, 원활한 실습지도를 위한 대학과 실습학교간의 밀접한 소통과 연계를 강조하였다. 본 연구는 기독교대학에서 선교지 학교를 현장으로 하는 해외 교육실습 프로그램 개발과 운영에 실제적인 도움이 될 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop an overseas education field practicum program to be conducted at mission schools in developing countries. We review the issues and limitations of the current field practicum, and explore possible approaches to develop the most appropriate program one. Overseas education field practicum is found to be meaningful in that it not only improve student teachers’ teaching skills and instructional competencies of student teachers, but also raise their global awareness and attitude. The Current overseas practicum, however, have faces difficulties such as unclear learning outcomes, a lack of the preparation training for the practicum, and loose connections between the university training and the field teaching. Due to these difficulties, student teachers have not actually experienced what they expected in the during practicum. Also It is also difficult for the universities to know exactly how teaching practicum is actually conducted in at the field. In order to overcome these challenging issues, we propose to take into account seven dimensions of the field education: learning of purpose, field, curriculum, integration, learning evaluation, cooperation, and support. Each dimension is discussed to analyze see how it applies to education field practicum in overseas mission schools. We emphasize, in particular, close communication and linkage between the university and the field school about on what to expect and experience in the practicum. We also suggest an integrative approach of the practicum so that education field practicum includes education service learning, learning coaching, and classroom observation, as well as overseas field practicum.
