본 연구는 켈트 수도공동체의 선교를 공동체 선교라는 관점에서 중점적 으로 살펴보았다. 켈트 수도공동체는 공동체 영성, 기도의 영성, 창조의 영 성, 여성 중시의 영성, 순례의 영성의 바탕을 가지고 선교의 목적으로 사역 하였다. 켈트 수도공동체의 선교 전략의 핵심은 공동체 삶의 관계를 통한 공동체 선교였다. 켈트 수도공동체 멤버들이 초대교회와 같이 유무상통하며 공동체 삶 속에서 서로 친밀하게 사는 삶은 켈트 부족들을 매료시켰으며, 그들에게 다가온 부족들을 환대하고 친밀한 교제권을 형성하여 복음을 전하 였다. 또한 사도적 팀 파송, 성육신적 선교, 토착화 선교, 예술적 감성을 활용한 선교 전략을 구사하였다. 그들은 이러한 선교전략으로 영국과 유럽 에 수많은 수도공동체들을 세워 공동체 선교를 수행함으로써 중세 암흑기의 유럽을 복음화 하는 괄목할 만한 선교의 성과를 가져왔다. 켈트 수도공동체 는 현대의 선교에 공동체를 통한 선교의 본질과 그 모본을 제시해주고 있다.
Abstract
This study focused on the mission of the Celtic monastic community from the perspective of community mission. Its core mission strategy was community mission through the relationship of community life. The members of the Celtic monastic community lived intimately with each other in the community and they fascinated the Celtic tribes, and treated the tribes with hospitality who had been attracted to them. Thus, the Celtic monastic community preached the gospel by forming intimate fellowship. In addition, Celtic monastic community used missionary strategy of apostolic team dispatch, incarnational mission, and indigenous mission. With this mission strategies, they were able to establish a number of monastic communities in England and Europe to carry out community missions, resulting in remarkable missions to evangelize Europe in the Middle Ages.
