이 글은 안병무의 ‘민중사건’의 개념과 프랑스의 철학자 알랭 바디우의 사건의 철학 사이의 대화를 통해 민중 사건론의 철학적 토대와 신학적 의미를 확인하는데 있다. 안병무의 사건론과 바디우의 사건의 철학 간의 대화는 둘 사이를 연결하고 있는 사상적 동질성에 근거한다. 특별히 두 사상가는 사건의 개념을 중심으로 저항과 해방의 담론을 전개하고 있다는 공통분모를 갖는다. 만약 진리와 주체의 가능성을 사건의 정교한 철학적 개념들을 통해 전개하였던 바디우의 사건 철학을 신학적으로 수용하고 해석할 수 있다면, 전통적 기독교에서 신 인식에 대한 이분법적 구도를 넘어서 사건을 통해 계시와 민중 주체를 진술하려는 민중신학의 사유구조에 바디우식 철학적 해석의 영감과 틀을 제공할 수 있을 것이다. 이를 위해, 본 연구는 다음과 같은 순서와 내용으로 구성된다. 첫째, 안병무의 사건론의 내용과 그 특징을 분석한다. 둘째, 바디우의 사건의 철학의 전체 구조를 설명하고 안병무의 사건론과 바디우의 사건론 사이의 접점을 밝힌다. 결론에서는 안병무의 사건론이 갖는 철학적 함의와 타당성을 바디우식 사건 해석으로부터 제시한다.
Abstract
The dialogue of Byungmu Ahn’s M injung t heology with t he e vent philosophy of Badiou is based on the ideological common ground that connects the two. In particular, the two thinkers have a common denominator in developing a discourse of resistance and liberation around the concept of an event. If Badiou’s event philosophy can be theologically accepted and interpreted, it can provide inspiration and a framework for the philosophical interpretation of the thought structure of Minjung theology. To this end, this study comprises the following order and contents. First, this paper reclaims Minjung’s event and draws the contours of its background, focusing on the concept of the event. Second, I explain the overall structure of Badiou’s event philosophy and reveal the point of contact between the Minjung event theory and Badiou’s event theory. In conclusion, this paper describes the philosophical implications and validities of Ahn’s event theory from the perspective of Badiou’s event notion.
