Abstract

Jung, Gyeong-ryeon, 2007, A Study on Remaking Text of Simchungjeun in Elementary School, URIMALGEUL: The Korean Language and Literature 41, pp.163～190. Ever since the Japanese occupation until the seventh education curriculum, <Simchungjeun> has been included in textbooks without one omission. The text has been dealt in current curriculum six times throughout four different grades. Such recognition of <Simchung- jeun> is believed to be due to its archetypal aspect as a Korean classical literature which represent the realistic value, filial piety. This study explores the inclusion aspect of <Simchungjeun> from Japanese occupation to the current education curriculum. The education system of literature domain suggested in the seventh curriculum is ‘reception and creation of literature’ which does not emphasized on literature creation but on learners diversified expressing activity gained though learners literature reaction toward individual literature text. Furthermore, studies from education methodological aspect to enhance our proud classical literature by devising with more desirable guidance plan, is needed. (Yeungnam University)
