Abstract

Lee, Hee-joung, 2007, Literal Style Transformation of Serial Publication on ‘Maeil Sinbo’ in the 1910s (2), URIMALGEUL: The Korean Language and Literature 41, pp.345～370. This thesis is about serial publication on Maeil-Sinbo in the latter half of the 1910s, which was considered the literal style transformation. In the inner form, The literal style on Maeil-Sinbo in the latter half of the 1910s was separated instructions from sayings in the aspect of conversation reproduction. Furthermore spacing words and writing of short sentences were established, so prose style sentences of modern novels was established that it break from verse style sentences of the old novels. With an objectification of description which has begun by transforming a termination of a word, it has an critical effect on replacing a reading method of modern novel with a silent reading. On the other hand the literal style of a serial novel has polarized in 'Maeil Sinbo' a language adapted a taste of subscribers, because of a change of a point of view which is willing to share a popular novel with a novel for intellectuals. This fundamentally causes a direct effect that the literal style of a serial novel is dependent on view of media's language. (Kyungpook National University)
