이상의 논의를 통해, 본 글에서는 러시아어 c 동반구문이 지니는 통사적 변별성을 바탕으로 한 유형론에 착안하여, 이들 통사적 변별성이 보여주는 특성들을 의미론적 관점에서 설명해 보고자 시도하였다. 특히 이러한 의미론적 관점에서의 설명에, 화자의 발화 의도라는 화용적 고려 혹은 도상성이라는 보편적인 원칙이 작용함을 알 수 있었다. 본론에서 다룬 여러 통사적 특성들은 결국에는 둘 이상의 행위자에 의해 특정한 행위가 공동으로 수행된다는 동반구문의 의미적 정의에 의해 상당부분 설명될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 이러한 설명의 바탕을 이루는 접속유형과 부가유형이라는 2가지 기본적인 유형의 동반구문이 서로 상보적인 분포를 이루고 있으며, NP-부가유형도 의미 있는 제 3의 영역을 구축하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 대명사 동반구문에서도 이러한 접속유형과 부가유형의 대립관계에 기반한 특성은 그대로 반영됨을 알 수 있었다. 특히 대명사 동반구문에서는 인칭 간에 도상성을 바탕으로 하는 위계관계가 성립하며 이 위계관계는 도상성을 기반으로 하지만, 그 관계가 다소 규정적인 PPC구문의 경우와는 달리 SPC구문, 혹은 제 3의 유형(선행 NP가 복수이나, 후행 NP와의 포함관계가 성립되지 않는)의 경우, 화자의 의도와 발화의 특수성에 의해 이러한 인칭간의 위계는 역전될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.
Abstract
This paper aims to explain several issues on Russian commitative constructions in terms of semantic and pragmatic point of view. Russian commitative has come syntactic characteristics and they have been investigated in syntactic theories. This approach has showed the differences in the structures of several types of Russian commitative constructions dividing them as conjunct-type and adjuct-type, and giving each of them separative structures on the surface level. While some syntacticians admit that conjunct-type and (VP) adjunct-type have complementary relations, but they argue at the same time that these two types stem from a same structure on the deep level. These syntactic approaches have many good ponts but some of the characteristics of Russian commitative constructions can be better explained if proper semantic and pragmatic approaches are presented together. The problems of wh-extraction, anaphora-binding, persons, relatives, restrictions on the use of non-agentive verbs are good examples. Especially the principle of iconicity plays very extensively in Russian commitative constructions. For example, in Pronoun commitative constructions, the reason why always 1st person should be placed in the first place and 2nd person should be placed in the second place is that the principle of iconicity has overall influence on the Russian commitative constructions as on the other constructions. So we can conclude that behind the strict syntactic rule for commitative constructions, various and pragmatic principles are in active, and by investigating these pragmatic principles we can get better approach to the structures of Russian commitative constructions.
