집청정은 울산광역시 울주군 언양읍 대곡리의 반구대 옆에 있는 정자로서 운암 崔信基가 숙종 39년(1713)에 건립한 것이다. 그는 포은이 이곳을 찾음으로써 이름이 알려진 이곳의 명승이 천년토록 깊이 감추어진 것을 애석히 여겨서, 이곳에 정자를 지어 別業과 講磨의 장소로 확보하려고 하였다. 『집청정시집』은 집청정과 그 주변의 반구대를 찾아온 사람들이 남긴 시편을 최준식이 정리한 것으로서 특정 지역의 정자나 원림을 중심으로 펼쳐졌던 작시활동의 결과물을 집대성한 시집이라는 의미를 지닌다. 이런 성격의 시집으로는 16세기 중반부터 담양의 소쇄원에서 수백 년 동안 전개되었던 문학적 교유의 실상을 정리·기록한 『瀟灑園事實』(13권 3책, 목판본)이 있다. 『집청정시집』도 17세기 말부터 약 200년 동안 집청정에서 펼쳐진 문학 활동의 기록이라는 점에서 매우 중요한 의미를 부여할 수 있다. 이 시집에 수록된 작가와 작품은 시인 260명, 작품수 406수에 이르는데, 작품은 칠언율시 235수(58%), 칠언절구 89수(22%), 오언절구 45수(11%), 오언율시 27수(7%), 오언고시 9수(2%), 사패 1수(0.25%)이다. 이 시집에 수록된 시의 주요 화소로는 武陵桃源의 별천지, 爛柯碁의 선계, 活畵·畵中天의 勝區, 流觴曲水의 풍류 등을 들 수 있다. 그러나 이런 화소들이 이 시집에 실린 작품들만의 고유한 특징이라고 할 수는 없다. 오히려 전통사회에서 창작되었던 산수시의 일반적인 성격이라고 해도 과언이 아닐 것이다. 다만 그러한 요소들이 자연시가 대부분을 차지하고 있는 한시문학에서 나타나는 일반적인 것들이라고 하더라도 특정한 지역에 존재하고 있는 정자를 제재로 한 작품집에서 집중적으로 나타나는 현상인 만큼, 그러한 측면을 지적함으로써 이 시집에 실린 작품들의 일반적 성격을 드러낼 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
Jipcheong-jeong was built by Choi, Shin-gi at Eonyang-uop Daegog-li Bangu-dae, Ulsan Metropolitan in 1713. Bangu-dae called as Poueon-dae named after Jeong, Mong-ju who loved it in his period of exile is famous for beautiful scene. Especially Jipcheong-jeong made it more favorite for many people to visit and create poems. Choi, jun-sik collected these poems in book of the Collected poems of Jipcheong-jeong. In this book, we can read 406 poems written by 260 poets. This book is worth studying as well as the Actual Facts of Soshoae-won(『瀟灑園事實』) which was the records of literary friendship and mutual understanding at Soshoae-won for about five hundred years since 16th century. The main motifs of the poems in this book are the ideal of Utopia named Muruong-dowon(武陵桃源), the fairyland which can't be aware of the axe-handle gotten rotten at one's hand in a short period of time, the fine scenery like the appearance in the picture, the elegance of floating a winecup to choose the one who will compose the poem at the feast, etc. But these motifs are the common features of traditional Chinese-Korean poetry, especially dealing with natural materials.
