지역간 균형발전을 위한 지역격차 분석 - 부산광역시를 대상으로 -

Abstract

The aim of this study is to look for systematic and phrasal solutions for balanced regional development through analyzing unbalanced regional situations among districts of Busan Metropolitan City. Balanced regional development, consistently pursued in a series of development plans of national territory use over the last few decades, have sparked the seriousness of unbalanced development up to today not only on the national level but also on the within-city level. The regional disparity within a city has been on increase, causing social and economic tenses. Busan, as an object of this study, has formed civic sympathy of regional disparity issues within. Since the self-governing system was in force, self-governing districts with independent corporate granted has strived for improving inhabitants' welfare and administrative service for regional development. However, most of self-governing districts have difficulties in ensuring autogenous ability due to weak economic foundation. Especially in the existing downtowns, there have shown outstandingly disparity for regional development among underdeveloped and neglected sections including hilly areas, underprivileged-densely habitations, and policy-driven settlements, deteriorated industrial sites and twilight zones caused by de-urbanization.
