Abstract
This study analyzes the effects of employment stability on happiness. The purpose of this study is to analyze empirically how individual happiness can be changed according to employment type of occupation. Furthermore, we analyze empirically whether the subjective quality of job quality controls the relationship between the two. As a result, the employment contracts showed negative effects compared to regular workers and the job quality showed positive effect on happiness. This means that the higher the employment stability and the quality of the job, the happier it is. In addition, the interaction terms of employment stability and job quality show a significant positive effect, which means that the quality of the job weakens the negative effect of the employment contract type, which does not guarantee retirement, on happiness. This study suggests that the local government 's job policies need to secure jobs for basic living in terms of quantity and concurrent efforts to improve the quality of jobs in terms of quality.
