학생들을 대상으로 하는 학교폭력이 날로 증가하고 있으며 심각한 사회문제를 초래하고 있다. 학교폭력을 방지하기 위한 다양한 노력이 있어야겠지만 도덕교육에서는 학교폭력을 야기하는 심리적 요인에 근거한 감정교육에 초점을 두어야 할 것이다. 도덕교육은 도덕성의 원천으로서 이성과 함께 도덕적인 감정을 인정해야 한다. 즉, 도덕적인 감정인 동정심, 배려, 사랑, 인자함, 자비 등의 호혜적 및 이타적 감정을 도덕적 동기부여 수단으로 활용해야 할 뿐 아니라 감정을 잘 관리하도록 내용과 방법을 모색해야 할 것이다. 본 논문에서는 도덕적 감정교육과 관련한 초등학교 도덕교과서를 분석하였다. 도덕적 감정교육과 관련한 도덕교과서의 교과내용이 아동의 발달단계에 맞는 내용 선정의 지침을 탐구하여 제시하고, 바람직한 도덕교과서의 구성과 교재개발의 방향을 제시하고자 했다.
Abstract
School violence for students is increasing day by day and causes serious social problems. Though various efforts for prevention of school violence are necessary, emotional education based on psychological factors that cause school violence will be focused on in moral education. Moral education, as source of morality, should admit moral emotion with reason. That’s to say, moral emotions which are reciprocal and altruistic emotions, such as compassion, consideration, love, be’nevolence, mercy etc, are used as means of moral motivation as well as contents and manner should be considered for managing emotions. In this study, elementary school textbook related to moral emotional education was analyzed. As a result, we propose guidance for the selection of the content of development stage of the child, which is appropriate for curriculum content of moral textbooks related to moral emotion education, plus present direction for composition of the desired moral textbook and the textbook development.
