Abstract
The purpose of this study was to explore the meanings and practicability of Seven Emotions as a classification scheme of the basic emotion for moral emotion education. Seven Emotions which consisted of joy, anger, sadness, fear, love, disliking, and liking might satisfy the conditions of basic emotion suggested by emotion psychologists. Therefore, this study identified the meaning of Seven Emotions as the basic emotion and the context used in the Analects. 109 basic emotions which 17 emotion psychologists suggested are classified according to Seven Emotions. Based on the result, this study shows practicability of Seven Emotions as a classification scheme of the basic emotion for moral emotion education. This study is hoped to provide grounds for planning the content system in moral emotion education.
