교육은 형식적인 학교교육과 비형식적인 교육을 통해 통합적으로 일어나고 있다. 한국사회가 다문화사회로 이행됨에 따라 2006년 교육인적자원부는「다문화가정 자녀 교육지원 대책」을 통해 “교육과정 및 교과서에 다문화 교육요소 반영”할 것을 권고한 이후 2007년 개정교육과정에서는 다문화 개념을 범교과 주제에 포함시켰으며, 2008년 교육과학기술부는 “다문화교육 기반 구축”, “교사 연수 등 다문화교육 저변 확대”를 통해 다각적인 다문화교육이 이루어졌다. 그 동안 시행된 이러한 다문화교육이 많은 긍정적 효과를 가져 온 것도 사실이나 학교교육이 지닌 한계점을 보완하기 위하여 지역의 평생교육기관인 박물관과 연계할 것이 강조되고 있다. 학교교육과 연계된 박물관을 통한 다문화교육은 “다문화 체험”을 통해 인간과 문화를 체험하고 다문화사회에 요구되는 더불어 더 잘 살 수 있는 태도와 능력을 향상시킬 수 있을 것이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 다문화박물관이라고 할 수 있는 「지구촌민속교육박물관」을 중심으로 다문화교육내용을 분석하고, 더불어 더 잘 살 수 있는 다문화교육을 위한 박물관교육의 역할에 관해 탐색해보는 것이다. 먼저, 지구촌민속교육박물관의 박물관의 전시와 교육프로그램에 반영된 다문화교육내용을 분석하기 위해「문화」,「다양성」,「정체성」,「평등」,「반편견」,「협력」의 6가지 분석 준거로 분석할 것이다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여, 제 2장에서는 다문화사회로의 이행과 박물관연계교육의 필요성에 대하여 고찰하고 제 3장에서는 지구촌 민속교육박물관의 전시와 연계교육프로그램을 분석하고 논의하였다. 제 4장에서는 3장의 분석․논의를 바탕으로 다문화교육을 위한 바람직한 박물관의 역할을 제시하였다. 그 결과 다문화교육을 위한 박물관연계교육프로그램의 바람직한 방향을 제시해줄 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
Integrated education is happening through formal school education and informal education. Although that implemented multi-cultural education has many positive effects until now, multi-cultural education should be closely connected with the museum, the local lifelong education institute, to compensate the limitations of school education. Multi-cultural education through museum connected with school education can give the opportunity of an experience of human being and culture through “multi-cultural experience” and improve attitude and ability of living a better life together, which are required in multi-cultural society. Thus, this study analyzed multi-cultural education focusing on 「Folk Education Museum of Global Village」, which can be described as multi-cultural museum, and explores on the role of museum education for multi-cultural education of living a better life together. First of all, we will analyzed criterions of 「culture」, 「diversity」, 「identity」, 「equality」, 「anti-prejudice」, and「cooperation」for analyzing multi-cultural education contents reflected in the exhibition of Folk Education Museum of Global Village and education program. To achieve the purpose of the study, Chapter 2 discusses the transition into a multi-cultural society and the need to museum-associated education. Chapter 3 analyzes and debates the exhibition of Folk Education Museum of Global Village and museum - associated - education program. Chapter 4 presents the role of desirable museum for multi-cultural education. based on analyzes and discussion in chapter 3. As a result, this study will be able to give a desirable direction of the museum-associated education programs for multi-cultural education.
