도덕교육에서 교사와 학생의 의사소통 방법론 연구 ― 콜버그의 해석학적 논의를 중심으로
A Study on the Methodology of Teacher-Student Communication in Moral Education ― Focusing on Kohlberg’s Hermeneutical Discussion

도덕교육 방법론은 어떤 해석학적 전제를 가졌느냐에 따라 상당한 차이를 드러내게 된다. 본 연구에서는 먼저 교사가 학생의 행위를 이해하는데 있어서 자연과학자들처럼 객관적으로 재구성할 수 있다는 ‘해석학적 재구성주의’와 사회과학의 영역에서 전통적으로 중요한 객관성을 포기하는 ‘급진적 해석학주의’를 검토하였다. 전자의 해석학은 교사의 학생에 대한 내적 공감과 정확한 이해가 불가능하고, 후자는 학생에 대한 이해와 평가가 상대주의로 빠지기 쉬우므로 도덕교육에 적용하기에는 한계가 있다. 그래서 본 연구는 이 두 해석학을 통합하고자 하는 콜버그의 상보성 테제를 검토하고, 이를 교사가 학생의 도덕적 행위를 이해·평가하는데 적용해보고자 한다.
Abstract
Moral education methodologies reveal considerable differences depending on the kind of hermeneutical premise they have. In the study, first of all, the limits of ‘analytic reconstructionism’ that teachers can objectively reconstruct like natural scientists in understanding students’ behavior and ‘radical hermeneuticism’ that give up traditionally important objectivity in the field of study are reviewed. The former makes it impossible for teachers to have internal sympathy and accurate understanding of students, and the latter has limitations in application to moral education because understanding and evaluation of students tends to fall into relativism. Therefore, this study examines Kohlberg’s Complementarity Thesis, which seeks to integrate these two hermeneutics, and tries to apply it to teachers’ understanding and evaluation of students’ moral behavior.
