Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the types of questions in Japanese moral textbooks and suggest implications for the development of Korean moral textbooks. In this study, I aim to analyze the epigraphs presented in Tokyo Books' 3rd and 4th grade moral textbooks. In addition to whether the question focuses on cognition, emotion, or behavior, we also want to consider whether the question is open-ended or closed-ended depending on the degree to which the scope of the response is acknowledged. The analysis results are summarized as follows. First, among the cognitive, affective, and behavioral domains, the proportion of questions in the cognitive domain is the highest, and the proportion of questions in the behavioral domain is significantly lower than other domains. Second, open-ended and closed-ended questions each account for about half, and the proportion of open-ended questions increases as the grade increases. Also, closed-ended questions are presented first and then open-ended questions are presented.
