정보통신기술(ICT)의 교육적 활용을 위한 예비 교사 준비 교육프로그램 모형에 관한 연구

본 연구는 예비교사의 정보통신기술(ICT) 활용 교육을 지원하는 프로그램 모형의 효과와 개선점을 탐색하는 목적으로 수행되었다. 국내의 경우, 현직 교사들의 ICT 활용 교육과 연관된 많은 연구와 프로그램이 진행된 것에 비하여 예비교사들을 준비하기 위한 프로그램이나 교육과정은 매우 미비한 편이다. 본 연구에서는 우선 예비교사들을 위한 ICT 활용 교육과정 및 프로그램 관련 국내외 선행 연구에서 제안한 요소들을 종합화하여 모형을 개발하였다. 이 모형은 ‘ICT 활용 교육을 위한 기존 교수자원의 활용’, ‘분석 및 성찰 기회의 제공’, ‘학교 현장과의 연계’, ‘지속적 지원 체제의 개발’, ‘웹 기반 지원 시스템 개발’의 요소로 구성되어 있다. 이를 사범대학의 기존 교육과정 내에 적용하여 실시하면서 형성평가 연구 방법에 따라 제안한 모형의 효과와 개선점을 분석하였다. 마지막으로 교육 프로그램에 참가한 13명의 예비교사들의 성찰보고서와 개별 면담 과정을 거치면서 본 모형이 제시한 요소와 구체적 특징 중 어떤 부분이 성공적이었으며, 향후 개선점은 무엇인가를 확인하였다.
Abstract
This study intended to design and examine an educational program model for preparing pre-service teachers to integrate ICT(Information and Communication Technology) in the classroom teaching. Based on reviewing the literature on the ICT use in teaching such as PT3(Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers to Use Technology Program) design principles for a new program were made as follows: Using extant instructional resources for utilizing ICT; Providing analysis and reflective opportunities about instructional practices; Having linkage in support ICT use between university and school; Ensuring a continuous support system; and Providing a Web-based support system. An educational program was developed and tested out with 13 pre-service teachers to examine its effective aspects and areas for improvements. The reflective journals before and after the teaching practicum and interview data after the practicum by participants were collected and analyzed by the qualitative research methods. Among the effective aspects of the principles of the programs are: Having the chances to demonstrate and reflect on the ICT-based instruction; Providing web-based support system; and Having direct feedback from the school teachers. Areas of improvements include such as direct feedback in the classroom by faculty let alone the on-line feedback regarding ICT-based instruction; detailed overview of the purpose, procedure, and expectation of the program in for the participants; diverse and in-depth introduction of theories, models and cases of ICT-based instruction; and prerequisite course for ICT-based instruction. Finally, a set of specific principles were identified especially for the pre-service teachers in their preparation of ICT-based instruction. This educational program showed us that simultaneous improvements among university and school would be effective for the pre-service teachers to integrate successfully ICT in their teaching.
