유비쿼터스 시대의 미래교육시스템과 홈스쿨링의 관계에 관한 연구

Abstract

Homeschooling has been an emerging issue in Korea since the Presidential Committee on Education Innovation made a statement of ‘Vision and Strategy of the Future Education’. As the legalization of homeschooling has been promoted, it started to be illuminated the positive side of it as ‘self-directed custom-made education’ rather than the negative side of it as ‘refusal of school education’. However there are some challenges to overcome the limits of current homeschooling in Korea. Therefore this study inquires into the relationship between future education system and homeschooling to make up for the weak points in the current educational environment and also probes the way how to maximize the merits of homeschooling against the limitations of it based on the ubiquitous environment. By analyzing the history of homeschooling, its current situations in the foreign settings, and the previous researches, this research examines the limitations and the demands on how to adapt homeschooling in Korean society efficiently. With the examination of the studies of future society based on the ubiquitous environment, this study analyses the educational predicts as well as its functions and suggests 6 types of future educational system. Lastly, this study shows the possible direction to connect the future educational system in the ubiquitous era with homeschooling to enhance the effectiveness and fairness in Korean, which might bring some changes in the current educational environment.
