환경교육 프로그램의 평가 -체험과 환경적 감수성을 중심으로-

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to check if the ultimate objective of environmental education i.e. 'cultivating responsible environmental actor' is being realized properly at the filed of education. Various experience-oriented environmental education programs are currently being developed and implemented for the environmental education. Unfortunately, however, evaluations for the programs themselves have not been made appropriately.We have established the framework by correcting and supplementing the existing evaluation framework of environmental education from the point of view that 'immediate experience' and 'environmental sensitivity' are essential to make environmental education programs most educational.And we selected programs implementing in Chungbuk region as evaluation subjects. The 'TER Loving Children's Natural School Program', operated by the Ecology Educational Institute-TER has been selected as a social environmental education program, and the 'Forest Experiencing Program' of Mokhaeng Elementary School has been selected as a school environment educational program. Evaluations were made by using qualitative study method, such as participating in each environmental education program directly for a specific period, interviewing with teachers and learners.By the results of the study, we were able to clarify whether the evaluation framework was appropriate in evaluating environmental education programs. By evaluating environmental programs with a qualitative method, we were able to understand and interpret the operating status of the programs in Chungbuk region. It's a good opportunity for us to have a clear idea in understanding environmental educational programs and their effective operating methods.
