수준별 사회과 교과서의 탐구성과 발문 수준의 적용성 분석 - 자연지리 단원 중심으로 -

본 연구는 사회과 교과서의 수준별 교육과정 구현이 어느 정도 도달하였는지 알아보고자 10학년 사회과 교과서에 제시된 내용의 탐구성과 교과서 발문을 분석하였다. 교과서 탐구성은 Romey’지수에 의해 분석한 결과 사회교과서 중 자연지리 영역은 학습자료면에서 RM=0.85로 탐구형 교과서로 나타났다. 교과서에 제시된 발문(adjunctive questioning) 수준의 분석 결과는 인지·기억적이고 수렴적 사고인 낮은 수준의 폐쇄적 발문이 73.03%, 높은 수준의 개방적 발문이 26.97%로 나타났다.이는 창의적 사고를 유발하는 개방적 발문보다는 지식의 인지적 사고를 강조하는 편으로 보인다. 교과서 자료의 제시는 사진자료가 많았고 자료와 연관된 발문의 비중이 높았다. 전체적으로 분석대상의 교과서는 탐구경향과 사고 기능의 향상을 추구하고 있지만 발문의 맥락성과 배열이 단계적이고 체계적이지 못하고 발문에서 수준화되지 못하고 있다.
Abstract
This present research report the data obtained after classification of the inquiring dispositions and questions in the textbook of K-10 social studies into one of the two levels, higher and lowe! r thinking. Studies based on Romey? method revealed that the 7th curriculum textbook can be classified into a type of an inquiring textbook, because the RM index of the geography part in the social studies textbook are 0.85 for 7th curriculum. Systematic analysis of the adjunctive questioning in the textbook showed that lower order questions which consist of closed questioning for evaluation of student?s ability of recalling and convergent thinking took 67.75%, whereas higher-ordered open questions are 32.25%.This results say that the 7th curriculum textbook put emphasis on cognitive thinking rather than creative thinking which can be induced by open questioning method. However, classification and arrangement of the questions were found not to be step-wis e and systematic, and need critical improvement.
