일련의 사회적·정치적 현안들을 통해, 현 보수 정권은 ‘총체적’ 무능과 부도덕성, 오만과 독선, 부정의와 퇴행적 민주주의의 실체적 본성을 여실히 드러내 보여주고 있다. 하지만 이러한 실상에도 불구하고, 한국사회 구성원들의 ‘절반’(?)은 그야말로 철옹성처럼 단단히 결집하여 현 집권 세력을 한 결 같이 지지 옹호하고 있다. 이처럼 비합리적인 ‘모순적인’ 사태가 야기된 데에는 다양한 요인이 작용했을 것이다. 그럼에도 논자는 다음의 사실을 ‘주된 원인’의 하나로 주목해 볼 필요가 있음을 제언하고자 한다. 곧 시대착오적 유물로 전락해 가고 있다고 봤던 반공주의라는 ‘사상적 망령’이 현 보수 집권 세력에 의해 다시금 정교하게 변용되어 정치적으로 악용되고 있는, 오늘의 한국 사회의 ‘실체적 진실’이 바로 그것이다. 현 보수 정권은, 과거 독재 체제의 ‘정당화 논리’로 기능했던 반공주의를 변화된 시대 상황에 맞게끔 변용하여, 한층 더 왜곡되고 강화된 ‘전투적 이념 대결 구도’를 구축하여, 현 정권에 부정적인 구성원들에 대해서는 소위 ‘적대적 이념 세력’으로 규정하여 배제해 버리면서, 오직 현 정권을 지지하는 구성원들만을 공고히 규합·통합하는 소위 ‘배제적 국민 대통합’ 전략의 기본 원리로서 활용하고 있는 것이다. 그런 한에서, 명색이 ‘민주화된’ 오늘의 한국 사회에서 반공주의는 일종의 변형된 ‘정권 정당화’ 논리로서 새롭게(?) 그 역할과 기능을 수행하고 있는 것이다.
Abstract
Through a series of social․political pending issues and problems, the current conservative regime of Korea has been revealing its overall incompetence, immorality, arrogance, self-righteousness, and its true colors of the regressive democracy. But in spite of such a true state, the nearly 'half(?)' of the members of Korean society support ardently Park regime as ever in a mass like an impenetrable fortress. Maybe various factors and causes have brought out such an irrational contradictory situation. Nevertheless I would like to suggest a inference as given below as a main cause. That is to say, the 'Korean reality' that the present governing power is making a bad use of anticommunism which seemed an anachronistic relics politically by transforming exquisitely it in various different forms, that is what I call the main cause of such the state of affairs. In short, by transforming the anticommunism which has played a role the justification logics for the dictatorship government in the past, in accordance with the changed situation of Korean society, and constructing the militant ideological confrontation which is distorted and fortified, the present ruling clique utilize it politically as a fundamental principle of the exclusive-integrative two nation strategy. And it is contrived as a sort of method of ruling which on the one hand, excludes the Korean members who have the negative and critical attitude to Park regime by dint of defining them as the hostile ideological forces, on the other hand, gathers and consolidates the Korean members who will back up and advocate ardently Park regime. In that sense, in the so called ‘democratized’ Korean society of today, the anticommunism is performing its role and function now as a sort transformed justification logics of the present regime.
