영재와 일반학생이 인식하는 부모의 통제적·자율적 양육태도가 창의성과 내재동기의 종단적 변화에 미치는 영향

본 연구의 목적은 다변량 잠재성장모형을 이용하여 영재와 일반학생의 창의성과 내재동기의 종단적 변화 양상을 확인하고, 통제적·자율적 양육태도가 이러한 변화에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것이다. 본 연구에는 한국교육종단연구2013의 1차~5차 조사 자료가 사용되었으며, 이 조사에 참여한 영재와 일반학생은 각각 725명과 6,599명이다. 창의성과 내재동기의 변화에 관한 잠재성장모형의 분석결과, 두 변인 모두 선형적 감소를 보였다. 다변량 잠재성장모형의 분석 결과 내재동기의 초기값은 창의성의 초기값과 변화율에, 내재동기의 변화율은 창의성의 변화율에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 양육태도 중 자율적 양육은 창의성과 내재동기의 초기값과 변화율 모두에 유의미한 영향을 미친 반면, 통제적 양육은 창의성의 초기값과 변화율에만 영향을 미쳤다. 영재와 일반학생의 두 집단에서 연구변인 간 관계가 동일한지를 검증하는 다집단 분석의 결과 자율적 양육이 창의성의 초기값과 변화율에 미치는 영향에서 유의미한 집단 간 차이가 있었고, 타율적양육이 창의성과 내재동기의 초기값과 변화율에 미치는 영향에는 유의미한 집단 간 차이가 없었다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 영재와 일반학생의 창의성과 내재동기의 발달 경향을 논의하고, 후속연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify patterns in longitudinal changes in creativity and intrinsic motivation among all students using a multivariate latent growth model. The effects of controlling and autonomy-supportive parenting attitudes on these patterns were also analyzed. In this study, the 1st through 5th waves of the 2013 Korea Education Longitudinal Study were used, and 725 gifted and 6,599 non-gifted students participated in the survey. Analyses of the latent growth models on changes in creativity and intrinsic motivation showed a linear decline in both the variables. An analysis of the multivariate latent growth model indicated that the intercept of intrinsic motivation had significant effects both on the intercept and slope of creativity, and the slope of intrinsic motivation significantly affected =the slope of creativity. Regarding parenting attitudes, autonomy-supportive parenting had significant effects on the intercepts and slopes of both creativity and intrinsic motivation, while controlling parenting had a significant effect on the intercept and slope of only creativity. A multiple-group analysis was performed to test the pattern of relationships among research variables between gifted and non-gifted students. The results showed that there were significant differences between the two groups in the effects of autonomy-supportive parenting on the intercept and slope of creativity. The two groups were not significantly different in the effects of controlling parenting on all intercepts and slopes of creativity and intrinsic motivation. Based on the findings of the current study, the developmental trends of creativity and intrinsic motivation in students were discussed, and suggestions for future research were made.
