고도영재에 대한 교사 인식 및 지원 방안 탐색 : 토픽모델링과 언어네트워크 분석을 중심으로

본 연구는 현장 교사들의 고도영재에 대한 인식 조사를 통하여 효과적인 고도영재 지원 방안을 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 120명의 교사를 대상으로 고도영재에 대한 설문을 실시한 다음, 토픽모델링과 언어네트워크 분석법을 활용하여 고도영재 지원의 필요성, 고도영재 지원에 필요한 공교육 시스템의 변화, 교사차원에서의 고도영재 지원방안에 대해 살펴보았다. 현장교사들은 고도영재 학생들의 잠재력을 최대한 발휘하게 하는 교육적 지원과 체계적이고 구조적인 공교육 시스템의 개선이 반드시 필요하다고 인식하였고, 고도영재 지원을 위한 교사 연수, 교육청과의 연계를 통한 교육과정 개선, 고도영재 판별 검사의 실시를 제안하였다. 또한 고도영재 학생들의 전반적인 교육적 경험의 향상을 위한 교사의 역할을 중요하게 인식하고 있었으며, 이를 위해 학습 동기를 부여할 수 있는 양질의 학습 내용 제공, 다양한 영재교육 기관과 프로그램에 대한 정보 제공 및 안내자 역할, 정서적 안정과 사회적 기술 발달을 위한 학습환경의 제공을 강조하였다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 현장의 요구에 기반한 효과적이고 실질적인 지원 방안과 후속연구를 제안하였다.
Abstract
This study explores effective support strategies for highly gifted students by investigating the perceptions of school teachers. To achieve this, a survey was conducted with 120 teachers on the topic of highly gifted students. The survey data was analyzed using topic modeling and language network analysis to examine the support needs of highly gifted students, changes required in the public education system, and measures for teacher-level support. Teachers acknowledged the need of educational support and systematic improvements in the public education system to enable highly gifted students to reach their full potential. They suggested providing teacher training, improving curricula through collaboration with educational offices, and conducting identification tests for highly gifted students. Additionally, teachers recognized their significant role in enhancing the educational experience of highly gifted students. They emphasized the importance of providing high-quality learning content that fosters motivation, offering guidance and information about various gifted education institutions and programs, and creating a supportive learning environment for emotional stability and social skill development. Based on the findings, the study proposes effective and practical support strategies address field needs and offers suggestions for future research.
