초록
This paper explores the characteristics of a counseling relationship facilitating human psychological development through the comparison between Process Philosophy and Person-centered therapy. In particular, it is focused on the relationship between God and the actual occasion described in White Head's terms such as subjective aim, causa sui of the actual occasion, consequent nature of God, and primordial nature of God. Rogers' humanistic psychology contributes to providing a good frame to view the qualities of the relationship between God and the actual occasion in terms of a counseling setting. The facilitating relationships through the comparison can be epitomized by "mutually influencing relationship" which puts an emphasis on the interrelatedness between counselors and clients.
