과학영재의 사회․정서적 특성에 대한 교육적 접근 탐색: 국내 학술 데이터분석을 중심으로
Exploring Educational Approaches to the Social and Emotional Characteristics of Science-Gifted Students: Focusing on Domestic Academic Data Analysis

본 연구는 과학영재를 대상으로 수행된 사회․정서적 특성 중심의 국내 연구의 동향을 분석하고, 이를 토대로 과학영재교육의 방향성을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 2001년부터 2024년까지 발표된 학술 문헌 중, 과학영재의 사회·정서적 특성과 관련된 현황 및 학습 내용을 다루거나 관련 요소에 대한 상담을 통해 효과를 검증한 연구 100편을 분석 대상으로 선정하였다. 연구 대상 문헌은 학술연구 정보 서비스(RISS)를 활용하여 수집하였고, 텍스톰과 엑셀을 활용하여 전처리 및 정제작업을 수행하였다. 주요 키워드의 출현 빈도 분석과 키워드 간의 네트워크 분석을 통해 핵심 개념을 도출하고 시각화하였으며, CONCOR 분석을 통해 유사성을 가진 단어들로 구성된 군집을 도출하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 논문 발행 현황을 통해 사회·정서적 특성과 관련한 연구는 지속적으로 이루어졌으나 제2차 영재교육진흥종합계획(2008-2012) 및 제3차 영재교육진흥종합계획(2013-2017) 시기에 논문 발행 건수가 급격히 증가한 이후 점차 축소되는 추세를 보였다. 둘째, 주요 키워드로는 ‘초등영재’, ‘일반학생’, ‘정서지능’, ‘중등영재’, ‘비교’, ‘스트레스’, ‘과흥분성’, ‘수학영재’, ‘영재학부모’, ‘정서’ 등이 나타났다. 셋째, CONCOR 분석을 통해 ‘창의성 및 융합교육’, ‘성취와 사회적 관계의 균형’, ‘정서적 지원 및 환경’, ‘교육적 도전과 다중지능’을 중심으로 군집이 형성되어 있음을 확인하였다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 과학영재를 대상으로 한 사회·정서적 특성 중심 연구의 주요 연구 주제 및 동향을 도출하였고, 이를 바탕으로 향후 과학영재교육 연구에 대한 실천적 시사점을 논의하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to analyze trends in domestic research focusing on the social and emotional characteristics of gifted students in science and to suggest future directions for science gifted education based on these findings. To this end, 100 studies published between 2001 and 2024 were selected, which either addressed the current status and educational content related to the social and emotional characteristics of science-gifted students or verified the effectiveness of interventions such as counseling targeting related factors. The data were collected using the Research Information Sharing Service (RISS), and preprocessing and refinement were conducted using Textom and Excel. Core concepts were extracted and visualized through keyword frequency analysis and keyword network analysis, and clusters of semantically related terms were identified through CONCOR analysis. The findings are as follows. First, while research on social and emotional characteristics has been continuously conducted, the number of published papers increased sharply during the Second Plan (2008–2012) and the Third Plan(2013–2017), followed by a gradual decline. Second, the major keywords identified included ‘elementary gifted students’, ‘general students’, ‘emotional intelligence’, ‘secondary gifted students’, ‘comparison’, ‘stress’, ‘overexcitability’, ‘mathematically gifted students’, ‘parents of gifted students’, and ‘emotion’. Third, the CONCOR analysis revealed that the studies clustered around the themes of ‘creativity and convergence education’, ‘balance between achievement and social relationships’, ‘emotional support and environment’, and ‘educational challenges and multiple intelligences’. Based on these findings, the study identified the major research topics and trends in studies focusing on the social and emotional characteristics of science-gifted students and discussed practical implications for the future direction of research in science gifted education.
