Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine comparatively inquiry activities presented in the reproduction unit of science textbooks on the basis of the 6th and 7th science curricula. This study was to investigate process and context of inquiry activities. Three kinds of textbooks were analysed to perform it. In result of analysis, processes and skills, and context of inquiry activities were not balanced. And the results could show to be not adequate to the rationale of the 7th science curriculum. It is suggested that aims and objectives of curriculum be developed to be reflected in the science textbooks, and that the framework be developed and presented to evaluate if the standard of science textbook authorization was reflected in science textbooks.
