초등학교 과학에서 ‘쾌적한 환경’ 단원에 대한 4MAT 학습 모형의 학습양식 유형과 두뇌 기능성 유형 분석

Abstract

4MAT system, the learning program McCarthy suggested, is divided 4 quadrants which are learned by circulating itself to be experienced both preferred and non-preferred students' learning styles to make effective and efficient learning. This program is based on learning style theory and brain specialization theory of left and right hemispheres. In this study, to make a basic study of 4MAT system based instruction and learning materials, we analysed 4MAT System learning styles and brain specialization types in the 6th grade 2nd semester 'pleasant environment' unit with science textbook, experiment and observation workbook, and teachers' guide book. The learning style types are appeared variously in accordance with class lesson unit, and science textbook, experiment and observation workbook, and teachers' guide book respectively. The most appeared learning style type is type 2(48%), and the least appeared learning style type is type 4(12%). The most appeared brain specialization type of instruction and learning activities is left brain specialization type(46%), and the least appeared brain specialization type is right brain specialization type(25%). Also preponderate brain specialization types of instruction and learning activities are appeared frequently in almost class lesson units.
