Abstract

In this study, a self-regulated learning strategy worksheet was developed to find out the effects of self-regulated learning on the achievement in science, attitude toward science, and the self-regulated learning ability. While the worksheet was only applied to the experimental group, the control group was taught with the traditional teaching method focused on the teacher's lecture. To analyze this worksheet, the pre- and post-test of the achievement in science, attitude toward science and the self-regulated learning ability were applied to both groups. As a result, there were not significant differences(p>.05) between two groups in terms of the pre-test scores, but the post-test scores of the experimental group showed higher than those of the control group(p<.05). Therefore, the self-regulated learning strategy worksheet made a positive effect on the achievement in science, attitude toward science and the self-regulated learning ability.
