Abstract

This study aims to understand the aspects and development process of cyber warfare against neighboring countries on the Korean Peninsula, including the United States, and to establish an active defense posture through North Korea’s cyber war threat assessment and analysis. The research method was based on a literature review based on previous research data, research thesis and dissertation. The research content of this thesis is to specify the recent Russia-Ukraine war in the introduction, to understand the cyber and electronic warfare capabilities of the United States and neighboring countries surrounding the Korean Peninsula, focusing on theoretical considerations on information and cyber warfare. Through the evaluation of the cyber environment and threats, the defense posture was completed and problems were derived. Actively and fundamentally blocking North Korean cyber attacks, seeking the source of the attack, and responding to it, a professional organization and budget are needed, and a control tower that can control the whole is needed.
