연구 목적: 최근 서비스업 종사자의 감정노동에 대한 연구가 관심을 끌고 있다. 본 연구는 감정노동이 서비스노동자의 직무탈진에 영향을 미치는지, 그리고 이 두 변수 간의 관계가 성(姓), 연령, 종교유무와 같은 인구통계적 요소에 의해 조절되는지 검증하고자 하였다. 연구 방법: 연구모형의 검증을 위하여 서비스업 종사자 225명의 데이터를 바탕으로 탐색적 요인분석과 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 내용: 감정노동은 서비스업 종사자의 직무탈진에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤으며, 성별과 종교유무가 감정노동과 직무탈진의 관계를 조절한 반면, 성(性)은 그 관계에 영향을 미치지 않았다. 결론 및 제언: 감정노동을 피할 수 없는 직종의 종업원에게 있어서 직무탈진은 중요한 요소인데, 감정노동과 직무탈진의 관계가 줄어드는 인구통계적 요소로서 인령과 종교유무를 검증한 것은 의미가 있다. 기업관계자에게 종업원 선발 시 이러한 연구 결과의 적용을 제안한다.
Abstract
Recently, research on the emotional labor of workers in the service industry is attracting attention. This study aimed to verify whether emotional labor affects service workers’ job burnout and whether the relationship between these two variables is moderated by demographic factors such as gender, age, and religion. To verify the research model, exploratory factor analysis and regression analysis were conducted based on the data of 225 service workers. Emotional labor had a significant positive effect on job burnout of service workers, and while gender and religious status moderated the relationship between emotional labor and job burnout, gender did not affect the relationship. Job burnout is an important factor for employees in occupations where emotional labor is unavoidable, and it is meaningful to find out whether people and religion exist as demographic factors that reduce the relationship between emotional labor and job burnout. Companies should use these results in selecting employees.
