초록
The small size of islands means they have small ecosystems, so they have some advantages for outdoor biological inquiry activities compared to land ecosystems. To evaluate these advantages, the Janbong-do Island ecosystem was investigated and compared to primary school science textbooks biota. We found it contained a variety of eco-systems and was equipped with most biota required for outdoor biological inquiry Work. This means that several ecosystems could be fond and proveoseful for outdoor biological inquiry work. Jangbong-do was clearly divided into several small ecosystems, each with its own flora and fauna. Seashore biota and wetland ecosystems were comparable to those in primary school textbooks. It can be concluded that Jangbong-do has enough biota for ocean-fishes, seashore organisms, wetland ecosystems, land-plants, insects, amphibia, reptiles, birds, mammalia of janbong-do. But, the wetlands were very small and excessive activity could lead to destruction of tis components. Prevention of damages may require a well-trained nature guider and we need to find more than one location to conduct studies. Also there was a lack of places to lodge, and other conveniences. For more effective study, marine practice, collecting insects, botany activities should reconsidered for activity programs.
