연구 목적: 대학생의 독서실태, 독서지원서비스 경험, 여가독서 인식을 살펴보고, 이를 토대로 대학도서관의 여가독서 실행을 위한 실질적 지원방안을 마련하는데 있다. 연구 방법: 대학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 수집된 최종 323부의 설문응답 자료를 통계분석하였으며, 교수 및 사서 7명의 전문가 자문을 실시하여 분석하였다. 연구 내용: 대학생 독서실태를 분석하였으며, 변인에 따른 여가독서 중요성, 공간 필요, 대학도서관 역할에 대한 인식 차이를 분석하였다. 결론 및 제언: 성별에 따른 독서율의 차이가 나타났으며, 독서지원서비스 경험 및 여가독서 인식에 따라 여가독서 중요성과 여가독서 공간 필요성에서 인식의 차이가 나타났다. 따라서 대학도서관은 첫째, 남학생의 독서 인식 개선을 위해 노력하여야 한다. 둘째, 독서지원서비스의 확대가 필요하다. 셋째, 여가독서를 위한 별도공간마련과 함께 대학도서관의 적극성이 요구된다. 넷째, 구비 선호 도서와 휴식시간 읽는 도서를 고려하여 여가도서 컬렉션의 구성이 필요하다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the reading status, readers’ advisory experience, and perception of leisure reading of college students, and And based on this, it is intended to prepare practical support plan to promote leisure reading in university libraries. To this end, a survey was conducted on college students, and the actual reading status of college students was analyzed through the final 323 questionnaire response data collected. In addition, seven professors and librarians provided expert advice. As for the contents of the study, the reading status of college students was analyzed, and the importance of leisure reading according to variables, the need for space, and the difference in perception of the role of university libraries were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, there was a difference in reading rate according to gender, and there was a difference in perception in the importance of leisure reading and the need for a space for leisure reading according to the experience of readers’ advisory service and perception of leisure reading. Therefore, university libraries must, first, make efforts to improve male students’ reading awareness. Second, it is necessary to expand the readers’ advisory service. Third, it is required to prepare a separate space for leisure reading and to actively promote university libraries. Fourth, it is necessary to organize a leisure book collection in consideration of personal preference books and books read during break time.
