경호전공 대학생의 전공선택 동기가 직업가치관 및 진로탐색행동에 미치는 영향

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to be helpful for department development and career selection of university students by providing information to university students majoring in security who are preparing for social entry as experts in their major. From March 1 to March 31, 2023, total 317 questionnaires were collected and analyzed through the non-probability sampling method, targeting the university students majoring in security in four-year-course colleges in Gyeongnam & Gyeongbuk. In the results of verifying the effects of major selection motivation on work values and career exploration behavior, there were statistically significant results. Also, in the results of verifying the effects of work values on career exploration behavior, there were statistically significant results.As the major selection motivation has significant effects on work values and career exploration behavior, the department would need to educate and guide them in order not to have any difficulties in job selection and career setting by strengthening various career exploration education and major competencies, and also to provide conditions and environment where students can voluntarily perform career exploration.
