연구 목적: 본 연구는 항암화학요법으로 인한 말초신경병증에 적용한 마사지 및 족욕 중재의 효과를 체계적으로 문헌고찰하고 메타분석 하는 것을 목적으로 수행되었다. 연구 방법: 2022년 9월 28일까지 출판된 무작위 대조군 실험연구를 전자데이터베이스로 검색한 후 PRISMA 보고지침에 따라 문헌을 선정하였으며 효과크기는 Review Manager 5.4 version 프로그램으로 메타분석 하였으며, Cochrane’s risk of bias(RoB 2)로 문헌의 비뚤림 위험을 평가하였다. 연구 내용: 항암화학요법으로 인한 말초신경병증에 적용한 마사지 및 족욕 중재의 효과를 분석하기 위해 메타분석을 실시하였다. 결론 및 제언: 연구 결과는 총 1,153편의 문헌에서 4편의 연구가 최종 선정되었으며, 항암화학요법으로 인한 말초신경병증에 적용된 마사지 중재의 효과 크기는 -0.75(95% CI: -1.23~-0.27)로 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과로 포함된 연구수가 적었지만 항암화학요법으로 인한 말초신경병증의 마사지 중재의 효과를 검증하여 향후 임상적 근거를 마련하였다.
Abstract
This study was conducted to systematically investigate the effects of massage and foot bath in chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN). As a research method, a systematic review and meta-analysis were used, and randomized controlled trials published by Sept. 28, 2022 were searched and selected according to the PRISMA reporting guidelines. The comprehensive effect size was analyzed with the Review Manager version 5.4 program, and the risk of bias (RoB 2) was evaluated. A meta-analysis was conducted on the effects of massage and foot bath applied to CIPN. As a result, 4 studies were finally selected out of a total of 1,153 studies, and the effect size of massage applied to CIPN was -0.75 (95% CI: -1.23 to -0.27), which was statistically significant. Although the number of studies included in this study was small, the effectiveness of massage intervention in CIPN was verified, providing future clinical evidence.
