정신장애인의 기본심리욕구와 재활성과에 관한 연구

본 연구는 정신장애인의 기본심리욕구인 자율성, 유능성, 관계성이 그들의 재활성과에 미치는 영향을 통합적으로 파악하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 전국의 정신건강복지센터 및 정신재활시설을 이용하고 있는 정신장애인 431명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였고 구조방정식 모형에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정신장애인의 자율성, 유능성, 관계성은 모두 통계적으로 유의하게 재활성과에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 재활성과의 하위요인을 중심으로 살펴보면, 임상관리 영역에는 자율성과 관계성이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 역할수행 영역에서는 유능성과 관계성이 영향을 미쳤다. 그리고 기능 영역과 자기옹호 영역에서는 자율성, 유능성, 관계성 모두가 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 정신장애인의 재활성과를 더욱 높이기 위해서는 자율성, 유능성, 관계성의 기본심리욕구가 충족될 수 있는 환경의 조성이 중요함을 제안하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to comprehensively understand the effects of autonomy, competence, and relatedness, which were the basic psychological needs of people with mental disabilities, on their rehabilitation outcomes. For this purpose, data were collected from 431 people with mental disabilities using mental health welfare centers and community rehabilitation centers, and an analysis of the structural equation model was conducted. The main findings of the study were as follows. First, it was shown that autonomy, competence, and relatedness of the people with mental disabilities all had a statistically significant effect on the rehabilitation outcomes. Second, focusing on the sub-factors of rehabilitation outcomes, autonomy and relatedness were found to have an effect on clinical management factor, and competence and relatedness have an effect on role performance factor. And in the functional factor and self-advocacy factor, autonomy, competence, and relatedness were all found to have an effect. Lastly, in order to further enhance the rehabilitation outcomes of people with mental disabilities, the importance of creating an environment in which the basic psychological needs of autonomy, competence, and relatedness can be satisfied was discussed.
