연구 목적: 본 연구의 목적은 참여자들의 경력단절 후 재취업과정에서의 자아정체성 변화에 대한 경험을 드러내고, 그 경험의 의미와 자아정체성에 미치는 영향을 탐구하는 것이다. 연구 방법: 참여자는 경력단절 후 재취업 경험이 있는 기혼 여성 3명이며, 자료수집 방법은 심층 면담(2021년 4~5월 수행)이다. 자료 분석은 Clandinin & Connelly(2000)의 내러티브 탐구 절차에 따라 진행하였다. 연구 내용: 분석 결과 경력단절 여성이 재취업과정에서 겪는 ‘파도에 떠밀리는 듯한 삶, ‘데칼코마니와 같은 삶’, ‘나와는 다른 삶’, ‘내 삶의 주인공은 나’라는 4가지 의미를 도출되었다. 결론 및 제언: 경력단절 기혼 여성의 재취업과정에서의 자아정체성 변화 경험과 그 의미를 이해하고, 차후 프로그램 개발이나 상담적 적용에 활용할 수 있는 토대가 될 수 있다.
Abstract
This study was conducted to explore the experiences and meanings of changes in self-identity in the process of re-employment of married women with career interruptions. The study participants were three women who had experienced re-employment after career interruption, and data were collected through in-depth interviews from April 2021 to May 2021. The data analysis was conducted according to the narrative inquiry procedure of Clandinin & Connelly (2000). The purpose of this study was to reveal the experiences of participants in the process of re-employment after career interruption, and to reveal the meaning of the story and its effect on self-identity. The meaning of the participants’ experiences appeared in 4 themes: ‘a life as if being carried away by a wave, a life like a decalcomania’, ‘a life different from me’, and ‘I am the protagonist of my life.’ The results of this study have significance in understanding the experiences and meanings of change in self-identity in the process of re-employment of married women who have had interrupted careers and can be used as a basis for developing programs for them or applying them to counseling.
