연구 목적: 본 연구는 초보상담자의 중년기 상담입문 동기와 상담경험 의미에 대한 탐구이다. 연구 방법: 석사과정 중이거나 석사졸업 후 상담경력 1년 미만 초보상담자 10명을 선정하여 질적연구인 내러티브탐구를 적용하였다. 연구 내용: 연구결과 3개 주제에 13개 의미가 도출되었다. 상담입문 동기와 기대는 나와 타인의 치유, 마음의 이해, 상담효과에 대한 궁금증이다. 상담공부 및 수련과정의 어려움은 학업적, 학업외적, 사회적 요인 안에 7가지 의미가 포함된다. 중년기 상담입문경험의 의미는 나와 타인의 치유, 변화, 가치 추구이며 상담입문동기와 기대를 실현한 결과이다. 결론 및 제언: 중년여성 초보상담자들은 자신의 어려움을 상담이라는 장에서 통합하고 있었다. 이는 중년여성 초보상담자들이 상담의 장에서 축적된 내적자원을 사회에 환원하며 전문인력으로 성장할 수 있도록 학회와 국가적 차원의 관심과 지지가 필요함을 시사한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the motives for entering counseling in middle age and the meaning of counseling experience of novice counselors. 10 novice counselors with less than 1 year of counseling experience in than the master's program were selected and a narrative qualitative study was applied. As a result, 13 meanings were derived from 3 themes. The motivation and expectations of introduction to counseling are healing myself, others, understanding of the mind, and curiosity about the counseling effect. The difficulties of the counseling study and training process include seven meanings in academic, extracurricular and social factors. The meaning of counseling experience of middle-aged women is healing of myself and others, change, value－seeking and it is the result realized the motivation and expectations of it. Middle-aged women novice counselors were integrating their difficulties in the field of counseling, This suggests that interest and support from the academy and the national level are needed so that they can return the internal resources accumulated in the counseling field to society and grow into experts.
