국내 외국인 유학생의 심리건강에 대한 연구

연구 목적: 본 연구는 외국인 유학생들의 심리건강 분석을 바탕으로 유학생들의 대학생활적응을 돕기 위한 방안을 모색하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 연구 방법: 부산 및 경남지역에 소재한 4년제 대학교에 유학중인 대학생 92명을 대상으로 유학생 심리건강 검사를 실시하였다. 외국인 유학생의 심리건강 수준을 파악하기 위하여 SPSS 25.0 프로그램을 사용하여 평균, 표준편차, 독립표본 t검정을 실시하였다. 연구 내용: 유학생 심리건강 검사를 통해 외국인 유학생들의 심리건강 및 대학생활적응 수준을 파악한다. 결론 및 제언: 심리건강 척도의 일반 증상 영역에서 남학생보다 여학생들의 점수가 유의미하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 외국인 유학생들의 학업성적 평균 미만인 집단에서 스트레스 대처에 어려움을 나타냈고, 학업에 있어서의 부적응이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 외국인 유학생들의 심리건강과 관련하여 다각적으로 지원할 수 있는 방안을 모색하고 후속 연구의 필요성에 대하여 논의하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find ways to help foreign students adapt to college life based on the analysis of their psychological health. A psychological health examination was conducted on 92 college students studying at four-year universities located in Busan and Gyeongnam. In order to understand the psychological health level of foreign students, SPSS 25.0 program was used to conduct mean, standard deviation, and independent sample t-test. Through the foreign college students psychological inventory, the psychological health and college life adjustment level of foreign students is identified. In the general symptom area of the psychological health scale, female students scored significantly higher than male students. In addition, the group with below average academic achievement of foreign students showed difficulty in coping with stress and showed high maladjustment in schoolwork. Based on the results of this study, we sought ways to support foreign students' psychological health in various ways and discussed the need for follow-up research.
