진성리더십이 직무만족에 미치는 영향과 공감능력의 매개효과 연구

연구 목적: 이 연구의 목적은 진성리더십이 직무만족에 미치는 영향과 공감능력의 매개효과를 실증적으로 분석하는데 있다. 연구 방법: 광주경찰청 소속 경찰공무원을 대상으로 설문조사를 시행하였고, 수집된 최종 240부의 설문 응답자료를 통계분석 하였으며, 동일방법편의의 문제는 크지 않았다. 연구 내용: 진성리더십과 공감능력이 직무만족에 미치는 영향과 공감능력의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 결론 및 제언: 진성리더십은 직무만족과 공감능력에 정(+)의 영향을 미치고, 공감능력의 하위요인 중 인지적 공감능력이 직무만족에 정(+)의 영향을 주었으며, 진성리더십과 직무만족과의 관계에서는 인지적 공감능력만이 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결국 진성리더십의 효과가 경찰조직의 직무만족을 제고할 수 있는 실증적 근거가 되며, 특히 인지적 공감능력의 활성화를 통해 직무만족을 제고할 수 있는 의식적인 노력이 필요할 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the effect of authentic leadership on the job satisfaction and the mediating effect of empathy ability. A total of 240 police officers were selected to participate and answer the online questionnaire survey. Common method bias was not significant. The effect of authentic leadership and empathy ability on job satisfaction and the mediating effect of empathy ability were verified. The authentic leadership had a positive effect on job satisfaction and empathy ability. The only cognitive empathy ability among the sub-factors of empathy ability had a positive effect on job satisfaction and only it had a mediating effect in the relationship between authentic leadership and job satisfaction. The effect of authentic leadership is an empirical basis for improving job satisfaction of police organizations and conscious efforts will be needed to job satisfaction through activation of cognitive empathy ability.
