본 연구는 대학생을 대상으로 불안정한 지지면과 안정된 지지면에서 고유수용성 운동이 균형에 미치는 즉각적인 효과를 비교하고자 하였다. 연구에서는 BOSU 볼을 이용한 런지 운동을 실험군으로 설정하고 안정된 지지면에서 동일한 런지 운동을 실시한 대조군과의 균형 능력을 비교하였다. 균형 능력은 Y-balance test(YBT)를 사용하여 측정하였다. 연구 결과 실험군과 대조군 모두 즉각적인 균형 능력 향상을 보였으며 실험군인 BOSU 볼을 사용한 군에서 더 큰 효과가 나타났다. 본 연구는 고유수용성 운동인 런지 운동이 대학생들의 즉각적인 균형 능력에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 불안정한 지지면인 BOSU 볼에서 실시한 운동이 안정된 지지면에서 실시한 운동보다 더 효과적임을 보여준다.
Abstract
This study aimed to compare the immediate effects of proprioceptive exercises on balance when performed on unstable and stable support surfaces in college students. The experimental group performed lunge exercises using a BOSU ball (unstable support surface), while the control group performed the same lunge exercises on a stable support surface. Balance ability was measured using the Y-balance test (YBT). The results showed that both the experimental and control groups demonstrated immediate improvements in balance ability, with the experimental group (BOSU ball) showing a more significant improvement. This study suggests that proprioceptive exercises, such as lunges, positively affect the immediate balance ability of college students, and exercises performed on unstable support surfaces, like the BOSU ball, are more effective than those performed on stable support surfaces.
