고쟁은 중국 고전 미학의 심오한 의미를 담고 있으며, 가야금은 한민족의 섬세한 음악적 자질을 보여준다. 본 연구는 21현 고쟁과 25현 가야금을 연구 대상으로 삼아 두 악기의 역사적 발전 문헌을 연구하고 조율 및 악기 구조에 대한 정보를 분석하며 두 악기의 유사점과 차이점을 설명한다. 고쟁과 가야금의 연주법을 연구하여 각 악기의 연주 특성을 찾고, 두 악기에 공통적으로 나타나는 유사한 연주 기법 3가지를 연구함으로써 고쟁과 가야금에 대한 이해를 깊게 하고 상호 학습을 촉진하고 자한다.
Abstract
The guzheng carries the profound connotation of Chinese classical aesthetics, while the gayageum demonstrates the delicate musical qualities of the Korean people. In this study, the 21-string guzheng and the 25-string gayageum are taken as the objects of research, and the historical development literature of the two instruments is discussed, information on tuning and instrument structure is analyzed, and the similarities and differences between the two instruments are introduced. By studying the performance methods of the guzheng and the gayageum, the performance characteristics of each instrument are derived, and three similar performance techniques common to both are explored, thus deepening the understanding of the guzheng and the gayageum and promoting mutual learning between them.
