“HUDING” is the bronze inscription of mid-western Chou period. This is a rare court decision in bronze inscription. This is an important document that shows us how goods were exchanged during that time. “HUDING” contains three events in total. Among them, ‘WUFU’ event and ‘KOUHE’ event are about legal lawsuit. This study re-examined the letters of bronze inscription in “HUDING” that had been in question, sheds new light on the cause of barter of goods, the relationship between the owner and the caretaker.
