공익근무요원의 복무 실태와 과제

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the current status of Public Interest Service Personnel System and provide the development tasks to improve the system through public interest service personnelʼs perception toward the service. To meet the purposes of the study, 455 public interest service personnel were the surveyed on their views of public interest service. Major development tasks are proposed as below: first, establishment of active public relations and information strategy of public interest service personnel system, second, opportunity enlargement of choosing his service institution and job according to individual aptitudes and special skills, third, Introduction of the evaluation & designation system to ensure the service quality assurance of service institutions, fourth, reinforcement of education and information toward personnel in charge of service management and other staffs in service institutions to protect public interest service personnelʼs rights and interests, fifth, supporting individual career development and management through service period, and lastly, establishment of regular counselling and guidance system to resolve his personal matters and difficulties.
